With already 20 years of experience at this time, Mr. DZIRI created ASA in 1989 with our first business at that time, a containerized cargo from USA to Tunisia.

Year after year, ASA has been growing, diversifying its activity in grain business and conventional cargo such as steel, paper etc...

We mainly developed the grain bulk carrier being the one of our most important sector and ensured a satisfactory assistance of vessels under well known owners or charterers such as Dabinovic Monaco, Intermare (Toefper Germany), Soufflet Negoce Paris, Cargill, In Vivo and others.
In 1994, ASA was appointed as SETH SHIPPING agent basically for the container traffic with various services using various MLO'S ships and networks. Since 1994, we have been operating through spanish Hubs for containers from Far East and America.

In 1999, ASA opened a branch office in Zarzis dedicated to the Libyan Market of used cars. We used these four years of activity to develop another branch and indeed, in 2003 ASA started acting for an Off Shore oil services SOCO (a subsidiary company of PA Resources which is listed in the Oslo Stock Exchange) mainly in the transfer of the technical crew, divers, emergency teams etc. for their Didon permit.

Through the experience with oil companies, we’ve been agent for the subcontractors for the management of the crew but also the supply boats, rigs, barges including well-known owners such as MAERSK.
For two years, we have been involved in the extension of the main Oil Well of Didon with a continuous handling of impressive and heavy material used for the drilling. 
 
Besides, in 2004 we developed a new sector which is the cruises vessels assistance, mainly with Cie DES ILES DU PONANT (group CMA-CGM), and ensured first class assistance in most Tunisian ports such as La Goulette Sousse, Gabes and Djerba island (off shore by ship tenders). 
 
ASA developed the container business being agent of X-Press Container Line as subsidiary company of Sea Consortium.
Our head office is a more than one century-old building situated at La Goulette.
 
It is located at 300 meters from the port gate and 1500 meters from Rades terminal dedicated to RoRo and containers.
